FMC (Fax Machine Connectors) are designed for secure communication.
FMC devices differ from other Fax ATA devices in several ways:
- HTTPS provides more reliable connections to VoIP protocols
- HTTPS transport is not susceptible to burst packet loss and internet factors
- Fax communication is encrypted from point to point via SSL and TLS
- Communication is designed for HIPAA and SOX regulated industries
- No additional firewall provisioning is needed for easy configuration
- User experience is preserved with traditional fax machines

Use port 443 for outbound communication.
If local network has firewall or web filtering then make sure the following domains are excluded:
- documo.com
- faxata.com
If your device is showing OFFLINE:
-Check with the DHCP network/administrator
-Verify the IP that DHCP lease has pulled for the FMC
-Ping the IP for the FMC
